ClearBooks processes spreadsheets in your browser by default. Optional account features store only what you explicitly save.

Local tools — Reconcile and Sheets parse files client-side. Invoice drafts use localStorage until you clear site data.

Accounts — Authentication uses Auth.js (Google OAuth and email/password when enabled). We store your profile email/name and OAuth tokens needed to call Google APIs you authorize.

Google Sheets — Pro users can import spreadsheets via Google's official APIs after OAuth consent (Sheets readonly + Drive readonly). We do not scrape Google or any third-party site.

Cloud files — Files you choose to save are stored on the application server under your user id and can be deleted from Account / tool panels.

Payments — Stripe processes card data. We store Stripe customer/subscription ids and plan status to gate Pro features.
